To Make A Webcomic - 1

Description

I think it's pretty sad, considering I've got two of them in this very room, which I spend basically my entire day in, and another 3 elsewhere in my house, that I can't draw a desk to save my life at the moment.

So it seems that the background and the text are getting in the way of each other. Should I change the background, or do something to make the text stand out a bit more?

Is this too big? It's 1024x768, but I didn't try to make it that big. I'm still fiddling with the specific format I'm looking for, so I don't know exactly. Need feedback for that sort of thing. *cough* Ahem.

I'm also still working on that signature at the top of the page; can't really perfect it when I'm not used to the pen size on tablets.

In related news — the kind of related that Antarctica is to a cactus — I finally got the free time to go into my town's comic shop today, which is also the first time I've ever been into any comic shop.

Could've passed out from all the stuff I saw that I've been wishing I could get my hands on forever, but of course I didn't have the money to get much at all. I got the first Scott Pilgrim book and loved it, but I'm glad I've found something to spend money on that isn't food, transport or videogames.

Hope you don't hate it!

Regards,

≈Roy

I imagine that if you made speech bubbles instead of just using lines to text, it might be easier to read. Although if you think that would look out of place in your comic, you might want to consider getting rid of or at least altering the background in some way.

And if only it were that easy. =)
